We are touring colleges around the country at the moment launching infolio and were talking about the difficulties people had logging in, and the importance of it for ownership. I was telling people about the ASUS Smart login feature on some of their laptops and remembered I had meant to put it up here, but had forgotten, so while Andy is demoing the back office I’m writing this post so I don’t forget again.
Passwords no longer needed (although it does fallback to that if it can’t recognise you) and it can tell the difference between a person, and a picture.

We are beta testing with specialist independent colleges at the moment, so the events are just for them currently. There is a blog about in-folio and the roll out at http://www.in-folio.org.uk/ that anyone is welcome to visit and keep informed about how its going, what it is and when its publicly available.
The platform will be released as an open source project once we have cleaned the code up.
