My name is Nick Weldin. I work at the Rix Centre looking into technology that may help people with learning difficulties get involved in whats happening online and on the computer in front of them.
I have worked lots of places, but most recently at Paddington Arts running a project developing Multimedia Profiling with people with profound learning difficulties and people who worked with them in the borough of Westminster.
I have worked with Oily Cart theatre company, in residential care, ran an adventure playground for disabled kids and was a pyrotechnician for a number of years.
When not at the Rix Centre I work for Tinker It! on various technology projects, often related to Arduino an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software.
If that last paragraph sounds like gobbledegook, then maybe this blog will clear some of it up.
