In-Folio: Project Introduction
What is In-Folio?
In-Folio is an easy to use, uniquely accessible e-portfolio application developed especially for use by and with learners with learning difficulties and disabilities. It is an online repository where learners can record material about their lives and experiences. In-Folio makes the learner the owner of the information and gives them the ability to continue adding to it after they have left school or college. It has an easy to use visual interface that allows learners to instantly create multimedia pages for presentation using pictures, video and text. In-Folio also features text to speech functionality and a choice of systems for easy log on.
The first phase of In-Folio's creation and development was led by The Rix Centre in collaboration with some of the UK's leading Specialist Colleges. The In-Folio project is facilitated by JISC TechDis with funding from the Learning & Skills Council (LSC).
