Outputs

Project @pple outputs include the prototype Learning Environment with new Learning Materials created and adapted for users with learning disabilities and an e-Portfolio tool for use by learners to create their own multimedia.

Publications from the project are targeted at practitioners as well as international academic audiences that represent the programme's multi-disciplinary engagement. An online Portal is under development presenting

samples of the 'personas' alongside summaries of research findings for developers with endorsement and input by Macromedia that will help reach the widest possible global multimedia practitioner community.

Print publication highlights include articles placed in high-impact journals for Intellectual Disability, Special Education, Informatics, Psychology and ICT and Technology Studies. Of particular significance to this report are the attached works on personalisation and self-advocacy implications scheduled for publication in Information, Communication and Society and the Journal of Applied Research in Intellectual Disability, respectively.

The Project team aim to publish an electronic compilation of research and development outputs in DVD form timed to coincide with the UEL conference in 2007.
